Will be back in 2018 !!!
Macaron Day Perth is inspired by and coincides with the “Jour du Macaron” in Paris, created by La Maison Pierre Hermé Paris in association with the Relais Desserts Association. In France, the event is very popular and manages to collect approximatelly 50,000 euros, all going to charities.
If you want to know more about Macaron and where to find some in Perth outside of Macaron Day
last updated 20-Mar-2017
Participating macarons makers offered a free macaron in exchange of a small donation to a Sock it to Sarcoma.
Each customer is allowed a maximum of one macaron per location (while supplies last).
Part of the day’s macaron sales may be donated as well at the discretion of the bakeries.
Bakeries are not obligated to offer free macarons after their supply has run out or before or after Macaron Day hours or if their shop normal trading hours is outside of Macaron Day hours.
The macaron flavour is up to the macaron makers; the choice may be given to the customers or imposed.

The Charity: Sock it to Sarcoma
Perth à la Carte has decided to support Sock it to Sarcoma who is the concept and vision of Abbie Basson, who died from Ewings's Sarcoma in 2011 at the age of 20. Sock it to Sarcoma! supports medical research, community awareness about sarcoma and gold standard clinical care. Sarcoma is an aggressive and rare group of primary bone and soft tissue tumours which attack all age groups, but some variations in particular affect children, adolescents and young adults.
This Charity has been chosen in memory of Emmanuel Mollois who was raising awareness for this cause and who was one of the first Patissier to make Macarons in Perth (more information on Sock it to Sarcoma' website).
